Magee Secondary will be hosting a birthday party and you are invited!

On Saturday, May 24th from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Magee will open its doors to the Kerrisdale community. This is your opportunity to visit Magee and to get a glimpse of what public education looks and feels like in 2014. We think you'll be impressed.

We have a number of excellent events planned for this day.

  • Tours of the school, an Alumni/Student basketball game, and music and drama performances are just some of the highlights.
  • The Alumni/Student basketball "game of the century" will start at 11:30 AM. If you are interested in playing, please email Steve Hall at sshall@vsb.bc.ca . The first 20 respondents will comprise the Alumni team.
  • A variety of Vancouver's gourmet food trucks will be available on the Magee grounds to satiate even the hungriest appetite.
  • For those of you wanting to purchase a memento of our 100th year, t-shirts, hoodies, coffee mugs, and water bottles emblazoned with the Magee logo will be available. A custom print of a watercolor painting of our school will also be on sale.
  • The new Magee Centennial Memoir Book will be available for pickup (Passport Holders) and for sale.
  • Artona photographers will be on site to take a group photo of each grad class as well as candid shots of the day. All photos can be printed and framed on site or ordered on-line. Don't forget to get a photo with the Magee Lion!
  • At 1:00 PM, we will have a welcoming ceremony to honour our Magee community; this is an event not to be missed!

All these events and more will run from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Magee but our doors will remain open until 5:00 PM for those Alumni who want to catch up with old friends.

In conclusion, wait just a second ... what's this ...
