Newsletter No. 10 May 9, 2014

Dear [First Names]

Half a Moon Orbit ... 14 Days!

Half a Moon Orbit or 14 days! That's the time remaining until Magee Centennial Celebrations begin.

All the details are in place and summarized on our new webpage "Event Information Details Logistics". There are a lot of pieces, so take a look and plan your time well.

If you don't have a Passport/Ticket yet, visit our "Registration and Tickets" page and choose a registration option that's right for you. If you are waiting for a Full Moon, that would be May 14th. There's that number again ... it's a sign! Support YOUR Centennial!

The Success and Excellence achieved by Magee Alumni over the years is amazing. And the foundations were largely laid in those important teen years. Think back and then ask yourself, "Where would I be today without my education and experiences at Magee?"

From another perspective, do you know which of our Magee Alumni/Alumnae:

Are Order of Canada recipients?

Are BC and Canadian Sports Hall of Fame members?

Has won countless awards as one of the world's top architects?

Played a major role in the re-development of Gastown?

Oversaw the design and construction of the new Vancouver Library?

Is a repeat BC Masters tri-athlete?

Stars in the TV series "Hawaii 5-0"

Played a leading role in the original Superman movie?

Is a co-owner of the NHL Dallas Stars?

Medalled in the Commonwealth, Pan-Am, and Olympic games?

Are former PGA Tour ranked golf professionals?

Became Alders, Mayors, and MLA's?

Was the Lieutenant Governor of BC?

Took out the real "Bridge on the River Kwai"?

What are the answers? What other stories are there to be told and who will appear at the Queen Elizabeth Show on Friday May 23rd? You will have to be there to find out.

Where else, for $100, can you get a personal show at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, a 275 page full color Memoir Book, a Pancake Breakfast, a Beer Garden libation, and a Closing Cabaret? Let's throw in a free Street Concert, festive Street Banners, an Open House, and Musical Happenings. That, friends, is good value!

In short, Carpe Diem! Seize the Day!

Thanks for your support to make Magee Centennial Celebration a shining success! Help spread the word and send a copy of this email to your Magee contacts.

Best Wishes.
